How to remove the Gemini watermark from an image

Three steps, a few seconds, and your image never leaves your device.

  1. 1

    Drop in your Gemini image

Drag a PNG, JPG or WebP saved from the Gemini app, including Nano Banana images, into the box above, or tap to pick one from your photos. Files up to 30 MB work.

  2. 2

    The sparkle is reversed automatically

DeGemini finds the four-pointed sparkle in the bottom-right corner, matches it against the calibrated 48 px and 96 px templates, and reverses Gemini's alpha blending pixel by pixel, usually in under a second.

  3. 3

    Compare and download

Drag the before/after slider to check the corner, then download a clean PNG. Cleaning a whole folder? Switch to Batch mode: up to 100 images at 1 credit each, delivered as one ZIP.

Why DeGemini

Mathematical watermark removal, not AI inpainting.

Private by design

Every pixel is processed on your device with the Canvas API. Nothing is uploaded, stored or shared — the tool keeps working even offline.

Truly lossless

We invert Gemini's exact alpha-blending formula instead of blurring pixels away, restoring the original image with zero quality loss.

Free, unlimited

Single images are always free: no credits, no subscriptions, no sign-up, as many as you like. Credits are only needed for batch removal and AI image generation.

What is the Gemini watermark (the sparkle logo)?

Why it can be removed exactly, and what stays in the image.

Images you create in the Gemini app, including those made with Google's Nano Banana image models, carry a small white four-pointed sparkle in the bottom-right corner. Google blends the logo into the picture with partial transparency, so cropping it out costs you part of the image and painting over it leaves a smudge. You'll also see it called the Gemini logo, the Gemini sparkle or the Nano Banana watermark, and tools that strip it go by Gemini logo remover or Gemini watermark cleaner. They all mean this same mark.

The blend follows a fixed formula: watermarked = original × (1 − α) + 255 × α, where α is a known transparency map. Solve it for the original and you get original = (watermarked − 255 × α) / (1 − α). DeGemini applies exactly that to the pixels under the logo, using alpha maps calibrated for the 48 px sparkle on smaller images and the 96 px sparkle on larger ones. Nothing is invented: the pixels that were there before the logo come back.

The visible sparkle is not Gemini's only marker. Every Gemini image also carries SynthID, an invisible watermark spread through the pixels that Google's detection tools can read. DeGemini removes only the visible logo and leaves SynthID intact, so the image can still be identified as AI-generated. Label AI images wherever your platform or local rules ask you to.
